An outdoor space that enhances a spectacular restaurant design.
There is no greater homage than perpetuating the traditions of people. The restaurant Jou La Borda had clear its concept from the very beginning: to preserve the values of the past with a native culinary proposal and a modernly vintage decoration.
Carried out by Francisco Segarra and his team, the project took us to Syspony, a small village in the Principality of Andorra; and more specifically to one of the oldest bordes of all the Pyrenees.
Since then and with its completely renewed image, this historic building has become a great gastronomic reference of the region and the best place to get closer to the essence of the whole area.
The interior itself provides a total immersion; but, in addition, the restaurant terrace guarantees maximum connection with the surrounding landscape. With breathtaking views over the mountain, we can assure you that this little corner may be the most pleasant place in the world for a moment…
A dialogue between tradition and nature.
On the one hand, the mountain imposes its beauty; and on the other, the building reaffirms its roots by showing its sturdy stone walls. In this very enveloping setting, the outdoor area of Jou La Borda welcomes us and makes the experience even more authentic.
In this corner designed to the point, time stands still. Snacks, coffee, desserts… Here, with the landscape as the best backdrop, gastronomic moments become simply magical.
To achieve this feeling, the terrace decoration avoided luxury and focused on respecting the initial concept. Furniture, materials, designs... The elements complement each other, and tradition enters into a precious dialogue with nature.
Winks to the past and organic touches…
Located just opposite the main entrance, the terrace has been designed with both rustic and minimalist furniture to create a beautiful combination of colours and textures.
The old benches seem to have been here all along. Next to the entrance door, they show the most antique features of wood and remind us that we are in one of the most historic buildings in the region.
Reminiscent of the natural environment, rattan armchairs bring light, freshness and a lot of harmony. To accompany them, cannage style side tables and an imposing fire pit to enjoy the outside as it should.
Among winks to the past and organic touches, the outdoor space comes to life and is presented as the best extension of the restaurant interior. A place of pure beauty that activates all the senses and enhances a spectacular 100% FS project.
