Petanque Social Club has a soul… and it is just this what captivates us.
A creative mind is always open to new decor ideas and constantly feeds on them. Knowing the story of an establishment, appreciating its design, falling in love with every detail… Discovering places is part of our commitment to interior design and, therefore, of our work.
The blog section of our website is a space reserved for all those projects that, by their concepts and their unique aesthetics, arouse our admiration and stimulate our deepest inspiration.
Our latest decorative crush? The Petanke Social Club located in the old French quarter of Guéliz in Marrakech. Concept, atmosphere, furniture… Everything is worth seeing and appreciating in this place that brings back to life an old club from the 30s.
The meeting point for the most creative and nostalgic…
Known as the chic area of the Moroccan capital, Guélix is characterized by its innovative and avant-garde leisure venues. However, in the middle of this modern urban landscape, a small place resists the passage of time and, without losing its essence, today launches a new image.
The owner is the renowned restorer Kamal Laftimi, who already runs several emblematic establishments in Marrakech. To give a new life to this building and restore its soul, he turned to Art & Design Studio, the studio of architects Diego Alonso & Alexeja Pozzoni.
Since then and after almost three years of interior design work, the Petanke Social Club attracts curious and nostalgic minds. A unique space where art, gastronomy and music come together; and the best meeting point to create memorable moments.
An ode to the past and a versatile decoration.
Divided into different areas, the social club enjoys a versatile decor that flirts with bohemian style, vintage aesthetics and Art Deco.
Behind the entrance door, the garden opens and shows where the original pétanque is now, which gives name to the restaurant. An intimate and elegant outdoor area, decorated with a lot of freshness and traditional Moroccan touches.
Recycled and customised materials, retro furniture, terrazzo floors, velvet curtains, chandeliers… The interior is an ode to the past in all its forms. In each room, harmony flows and creativity springs from every corner.
In this design project, time and all the decorative details are valued. Together, they manage to preserve the essence of an almost a century old club. It is this subtle meeting with the past what raises passions and awakens our concerns.
